BirthdayBlog

It was my 19th birthday yesterday. It feels VERY weird being that age for a number of reasons. I'm also pretty freaked out that in less than a year I'm going to be 20.

I had a party in the house yesterday. I thought it was rather awesome. Guys dressed as girls and girls dressed as guys (although only 2 girls actually bothered). I had a dinosaur birthday cake. There's a picture of it up there ^ It's not a very clear picture, but it was a pretty awesome cake! I think the dinosaur's head is in the freezer bit of the fridge. I might try eating it later. I wonder what frozen icing is like... I hope I don't kill me teethies on it! People got pretty wankered. Four of us went to Tesco at like 4:30am and really quite enjoyed ourselves! We played singstar and concluded that I'm pretty unbeatable! Which is weird, because I can't sing! XD We watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show too, which is always a good thing to do! I had a cleaning spree in the middle of the night. Watched Titanic. Heh, yeah... Good party! XD We seriously pissed off my neighbours though. We were outside in the garden smoking at about 2:30am, when the dude that lives next door came out and started being a twat. Kinda worried though, because we have the same landlord and I'm probably completely screwed if he tells the landlord!

It was a good birthday. Well, the morning wasn't too good because I pissed off my family by being honest about my presents. I actually really liked my presents... I just wasn't completely satisfied with them at first and because I hate lying to people about anything, people got pissed off because I was a bit too honest when I was asked if I like them. I really do like my presents though! Kinda wish my grandmother had bought  me the £60 hoodie she was going to get me. I would have got it if I hadn't said I specifically didn't want clothes for my birthday! =/
-And no, I'm not a selfish bitch. I don't really care about how much people spend and all that jazz... The reason I wasn't satisfied was because of shit like my bag not having a zip, my purse being too expensive when you can get nicer ones for a cheaper price and not seeing the point in people buying expensive makeup. Just had to add that because I realised the above paragraph came out a bit wrong and made me look mean.

Anyhow... HoobletoodledooOO!

Morrissey and Polly

Today has been eventful.

Since yesterday, Morrissey (one of my degus) has been really lethargic and stuff. It was obvious that he was very ill. He barely moved at all and when he did he was slowly walking round in cirles. He wasn't himself at all and it was really worrying. I took him to the vets and they diagnosed him with pneumonia. I have to give him medicine from a syringe 4 times a day and it's not a very easy job! The stuff is called cefalexin and it's apparently the same stuff my grandmother had to take when she had pneumonia. It's weird how drugs that work on humans also work on rodents (degus need a much smaller dosage, obviously). The vet was great- he asked me how I knew he was sick, had a look at him, listened to his chest (the stethoscope was huge compared to him) and weighed him. He weighed 168g, which is really quite low (although I knew he didn't weigh much, because Miyavi weighs a lot more). I'm so glad I took him to see the vet when I did, judging by the way he was earlier, it seems likely that if I hadn't he might have died very soon. Hopefully this cefalexin stuff will fix him. He didn't seem to like the vet, he was trying to escape and stuff, but he was fine when the vet handed him to me. He's the only degu that's been to that vet place! Oh, and they put his name down as Mercy instead of Morrissey (seriously, those names sound nothing alike). I would have corrected them and stuff, but I was too worried about Morrissey to bother. Morrissey's health is much more important than his name! Hopefully he'll get better soon! Miyavi has become really overprotective of Morrissey. A couple of hours ago I was getting Morrissey out of the cage to give him his medicine and Miyavi actually bit me. He's never done that before (apart from the occasional affectionate nibble). It made me sad because they are intelligent creatures and should know I'd never hurt them or anything. Luckily Miyavi now seems to like me again!

On to more cheerful stuff...

It was Polly's 10th birthday (in human years) today. She had lots of presents and stuff. We even had a party for her this afternoon. Pictured below is a picture of me helping her blow out the candles on her birthday cake. I was going to make her a birthday cake that was suitable for doggies, but in the end I concluded that as she eats my leftovers all the time, one little bit of real birthday cake wouldn't harm her. I was just careful not to let her eat chocolate or raisins or anything too toxic. If you look at the picture, you can probably see her new collar (complete with a nice new shiny, bone shaped identity thingy) and her new pink cushiony thing. She got loads more presents, but I don't think they're in the picture. The party was great. We sat on the floor with a really low down table type thing. She really enjoyed it. =] Anyhow, I'm going to stop typing this now because I need to go see how Morrissey is doing and stuff. Hoobletoodledoo!

Oh my gosh...

I think there's something wrong with me... I'm being wayyy too nice for my own good. It's my half-brother's birthday tomorrow and I made him a cake (see picture above)... It's not amazing, but it's the thought that counts... right? It has some Chuggington character on it... I'm not even sure of his name because I've only seen Chuggington once or twice, but he's obsessed with it... hopefully he'll like it... It's pretty darn messy, but hey ho! It needed some blue on it, but I have no blue writing icing or even food colouring.

Anyhow, to add to the freakish niceness, I actually spent over £50 on him. I was only going to get him that rainbow aquadraw thingy (which cost £25) but I was out shopping today and I kept finding cool clothes I wanted to buy him... So he ended up with a super-cool dinosaurified raincoat, a batman tshirt, a buzz lightyear tshirt and some spiderman pjs... I'm not sure he'll be too pleased with those because when I was little I absolutely loathed getting clothes for my birthdays, but maybe as he's only 2 he's too young to really think clothes are stupid.

Oooohh... and I got him a really cool card with some funky giraffes on it from some fair trade shop... and then as I was writing in it I realised that on the inside it has a big thing about thanking the lord... It's quite amusing because I'm the person people would least expect to get him a card like that... It is rather hoobacious though.

Must. Stop. Being. So. Fucking. Nice.

Updateyness!

I haven't written anything in quite a while... In fact, I don't even think I've written anything yet in 2009! I'm going to start writing more... if I remember.

I quit school just over a month ago. I know I have a habit of quitting things and I was trying to kick the habit, but I didn't succeed. It just got so boring! I wish I hadn't quit though. Not doing anything is all good for a couple of weeks but after that it just gets boring. Not being in school is pretty much fucking up my life. I hardly ever see any of my friends and I'm once again back to being completely nocturnal. Meep. My life is back where it was a year ago. I'll find something to occupy my time with eventually... But I want to go back... I really want to go back! I miss the vending machine with all the Red Devil in it.

It's my 18th birthday in 19 days. I'm surprisingly unexcited. I don't want to grow up! There's also that really awkward thing about recieving presents. It's not that I hate getting new stuff, I just don't like the thought that people could have spent the money they spent on me on something they needed and I know I haven't done anything to warrant recieving presents anyway. I guess it's a weird guilt thing.

I really want to go to a different country... even if it's only for a couple of days (and no, I don't mean england!). The last time I left the UK was when I was 14. I went to Ypres and The Somme with school. It was pretty awesome... I think... All I really remember is that there were loads of awesome signs (see picture ^ up there somewhere), I got really cheap candyfloss from a little chocolate shop, the teachers fucked up the vegetarian meals one day so they just bought us a load of chocolate and we went in loads of graveyards. I really need to go somewhere! I'm so tempted to just bugger off to Paris one weekend... I'd hate to go alone though, so I probably wont.

I'll write again later when I have something more interesting to write.
